This week was a very good week for my love life. I went on a variety of dates, including one with some one new, whom I call The Unicorn for being both blonde and Jewish. Since it was monday, we went to the Chinatown Brasserie for the Chinese New Year and drank blood orange martinis (because oranges are lucky on the Chinese New Year. Orange in Chinese sounds similar to the Chinese word for wealth. Fun fact.) We also ate mushroom dumplings, (diet cheat) which are lucky because of their associations to bounty. The place was like a Chinese Abe and Arthur’s - super swanky, with delicious cocktails and food, but not very down to earth. It might have been to snappy for a first date, to be honest. The blood orange martinis were very good, but I don’t really like sweet drinks so I switched to the tomato basil martini for my second round and that drink was MEGA GOOD. It was like a light weight, deconstructed bloody mary.
That being said, it was a bad week for my diet. I cheated big time and did not fulfill my goal of going to the gym at least every other day. But, alas, today begins another week and I will just reapply the goals from last week, which are:
- Stick to diet
- Go to the gym every other day.
